Worship Services

Worship services are at 10:40 a.m. every Sunday morning and last about one hour.

Each worship service has music including piano virtuoso Giorgi Samadalashvili, singing of hymns, prayer, readings from scripture, a sermon based upon the readings, and a communion service.  We distribute service booklets for each service, so that it is easier for newcomers to follow.

Our regular Sunday morning worship service is taken from the Book of Common Prayer (1979), which is the main worship guide of The Episcopal Church.  We use Holy Eucharist, Rite II, which uses contemporary language.

At St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, all who are drawn to participation in the Eucharist are welcome to receive communion. The elements of communion are wine and whole wheat wafers. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those who need them.

Our Bible readings are usually taken from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible.

Following each worship service, we gather in the Great Hall (church basement) for fellowship and refreshments. Although this is primarily a social time, we often discuss the sermon and the scripture readings at that time. Your thoughts and opinions are welcome.
